The Cambridgeshire English and Maths Teams are producing learning pack for the summer holidays. Each of these packs will be free to download by schools and a draft version of the ‘Moving on Up to Year 6’ resources are available to view here.
The main intent behind the packs is to support disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils over the summer holidays so the activities in them do not require access to the internet to be completed, have resources such as digit cards included and consolidate learning from the pupils’ current year groups. However, both teams believe that the packs could be used more widely if schools wish to do so.
You will notice that no reference is made to the year group pupils are moving to on the front cover or in the text inside the packs. This means that if a school feels that any pupils would benefit from receiving a learning pack from another year group, this can be managed sensitively.
‘Moving on Up to Year 1’ through to ‘Moving on Up to Year 6’ will be made available to download by 15 July. The ‘Moving on Up…’ resources will be further explained to English and Maths subject leaders in the final online subject leader briefing training in July.
