50 Things to do before you’re 5 is a free mobile app and is now available for parents and carers across the county to download.
The 50 Things to do app is a fantastic resource offering parents and carers ideas for 50 different place-based activities to try with their children that they may not have done before.
Each of the suggestions has been designed to be universally accessible, play-based, and fun. Suggestions have been made by parents, carers, and early years professionals in collaboration with Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, and the Fenland and East Cambridgeshire Opportunity Area. Experiences are all tailored to each local area, within easy geographical reach, and followed up by targeted support from local providers.
The 50 Things concept was originally launched by St Edmond’s Nursery School, the lead organisation for the Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance. You can read more about the project on the official 50TTD website.
As well as the mobile app, there is also a dedicated Cambridgeshire and Peterborough 50 Things to do before you’re 5 website. This features localised activities and ideas, as well as resources.
